What if my child is registered for the Compass Summer Program on these same weeks, but I want them to participate in the Skill-Building Workshops as well?

Your child can attend the Skill-Building Workshops in the morning, and we will transition them to Summer Program at 10:30 AM, then you can pick them up after Summer Program.

If my child is also attending Summer Program, do I pay additionally for Skill-building Workshops?

Yes, there is a separate fee for each program. The fee for Skill-Building Workshops is $125/week from 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM Monday through Friday. If they are also registered for Compass Summer Program that week, we will transition them there at 10:30 AM. No discount is being offered to participate in both Summer Program & Skill Building in one week, as we must still pay all teachers for their time. Although! We do have support funding assistance available for the Skill-Building Workshops for those who want their child to participate but are unable to afford both all summer. We do not want the funding to get in the way of this opportunity for the children, as we feel it will benefit them greatly. Please see the registration form for more information on the funding assistance.

Will my payment be due?

Please complete the registration form and choose your payment option. You may request funding assistance or choose to pay in full, and payment information will be emailed to you after March 12th. Any fees due will be added to your Jeffco Connect account.

How do I apply for the funding assistance?

Funding assistance is available for those hesitating because of funding for the Skill-Building Workshops. If you feel funding assistance would be helpful in choosing to register your child for a Skill-Building Workshop, please choose that option in the registration form.

Will my child receive a report card or outcomes report at the end of each Skill-Building Workshop week?

Although teachers may send some helpful tips home with you for summer skill-building at home, no official report will be given to parents upon completion of each week.

If my child is in 7th or 8th grade, and we are only interested in the Maker Space Workshops, can we register for only those?

No, the Maker Space Workshops are only being offered as an add-on to the Skill-Building Workshops.

If my child gets sick and must be absent, is my fee refundable?

Fees are non-refundable. If your child is absent from a Skill-Building Workshop, please call the attendance line, as we do in the regular school year. (303-982-6732)
