Distance/remote-learning plan

Dear Compass Community,

As our Governor and district announced yesterday, our distance/remote-learning plan will be prolonged until at least April 19th. This means that our community faces a longer, more substantial disruption brought about by COVID-19, but we are confident that our staff and community will continue to be creative, work together, and weather this storm. We are so appreciative of our faculty’s ability to quickly problem-solve and create a new system of curriculum delivery for our students and families. Thank you all as well for your continued support and flexibility as we work to finesse and improve this system.

Much of our remote-learning programming will remain the same as we look forward to a few more weeks of this model. We will, however, be continuing to add more interactive options for our Children’s House and Elementary students. To best adapt our program to meet the needs of our community and students, we would like your feedback. Please take the time to fill out the google form in accordance with your child’s level: Children's House and Elementary. We will use this information to improve our instructional options as best as possible for the next phase of our remote-learning program. We will also be providing a more detailed schedule of Phase 2 over Spring Break.

As this crisis evolves in the coming weeks and months, our goal is to persist with a can-do spirit and ensure access to high-quality, public, Montessori education for our families and students. We recognize that remote teaching and learning is not optimal, but we are confident in our staff’s ability in the weeks and months ahead to deliver on the promise of quality education, no matter the delivery method. Thank you all again for your continued support at this time.
