Wheat Ridge campus outbreak status for COVID

November 17, 2021

Compass Wheat Ridge Families,

We are writing to inform you that our Wheat Ridge campus continues to be on outbreak status for COVID. We now have 18 cases of COVID, as well as four classrooms and our aftercare program on quarantine (Forest, Prairie, Mountain, and Cypress). The definition of outbreak status is when you have more than six cases in a building.

Given the consistent rise in cases this week, the Wheat Ridge campus will be closed  Thursday, November 18th and Friday, November 19th. While we understand this may present a myriad of challenges for families, it is in the best interest of the children and staff’s safety. The Golden campus will remain in session, as scheduled (all Golden students, including those with siblings at Wheat Ridge, are welcome to attend school tomorrow and Friday).

While children will not be at school the next two days, watching for symptoms and reporting them is very important right now due to our outbreak status. Please report ANY symptoms or testing results to Lisa Krieg, our Health Aide at 303-420-8288 x1244 or LKrieg@compassk12.org
