Happy Fall Break!

We hope you all enjoyed the wonderful veggies your child brought home from our field trip to Miller Farms. The kids had an amazing time, and it was so fun to see their enthusiasm and excitement over picking fresh vegetables. One child exclaimed, "I don't like this field trip. I LOVE it!" As another child was picking peppers, they said "This is the best field trip of my life!" Thank you to all our parent volunteers and chaperones. We wouldn't have been able to do it without you!

We have also been working on a project to make grape jelly from grapes growing on the playground. Laura worked with the children to pick the grapes and remove the stems. Several students then worked to cook the grapes to make the jelly. They all really enjoyed playing a part in making this wonderful treat. Our jelly was used to prepare the apple crisp for hot lunch, and we plan to use some for our classroom snack. Thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped with this project and donated supplies!

We have more enrichment classes starting soon! Please click on the links below to sign up.

We wanted to thank you all for coming to conferences. It so helps to hear your insights about your child, and we love sharing our thoughts with you all. In the spring, conferences will be student-led, and you will be able to see some of the works the children are working on.

Please check your child's Friday folder. We have included a permission slip for the Boulder Bus coming at the end of the month. This experience is $7, and your child cannot participate without a permission slip.

We have also included information about Historical Halloween. Please read over the paperwork and assist your child in picking a historical figure to celebrate halloween. All the information you need is included in the packet. We have also attached the paperwork in case you need a digital copy.

Also in their Friday folder, we have included information about Raz Kids. The login information is included on a sheet with general information about the program. For our returning students, the information is the same, but we wanted to remind you of this wonderful resource for reading. Please let us know if you have any issues logging in. Additionally, if your child is struggling with the reading or the reading is too easy, let us know and we can adjust their level. Another parent has volunteered to donate this service to our class, so our subscription will be renewed for another year!

See you all next week!
