No change this afternoon - read details here!

Hello Golden Families,

We’re writing to let you know that out of an abundance of caution, our Golden campus was placed on a brief Shelter in Place status this afternoon in response to a possible hazardous incident at Coorstek. Students on the Golden campus were brought inside and all doors and windows were closed. Everyone is safe.

At 1:45 PM, we were notified from Jeffco Safety and Security that the Shelter in Place status was lifted, and were instructed to go back to business as usual. All students are back to work and there is no change to today’s car line or after school activities.

We do not need families to pick up their child early today
Please refrain from calling the main phone line of the school if you can, as it can congest our phone lines and interrupt protocols during events like this.
If you would like more information about the district's emergency procedures, you can review them here. Student safety is always our top priority, and we will continue to follow district safety procedures in any situation that arises.

Thank you,

Compass Montessori
