Zero so far, but I have been teaching mathematics for 5 years.

What is the most inspiring thing about working at Compass, with students and/or in Montessori?

I am inspired by the whole learning community being constructed to provide opportunities to learn from different modalities. Students have the chance to explore both academic and life skills through the farm, kitchen, and store programs. 

How were you introduced to the world of Montessori? 

I was introduced to Montessori when my friend invited me to volunteer in her niece’s class. I was amazed to see students independently organize and schedule their task lists. Plus when I saw the opportunities students had to leverage their own interests into their learning routines I knew this was a learning philosophy I needed to explore.

List one passion you have outside of work

One passion I have outside of work is taking fiction I read/watch and my experiences camping in the Rocky Mountains, to the gaming table! I like to play board games and lead my friends on fictional adventures with different TTRPG rule sets.
