Does Compass require school supplies?
“Material Fees & Supplies” will be added to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal fees list, in lieu of school supplies. We do not require parents to purchase other school supplies in addition to that fee. Some classrooms create an additional wish list, and families may contribute to that voluntarily.
When does hot lunch begin?
August 31, 2026, please pack a lunch until then. (Please note - orders for Aug 31st - September 30th will open on Aug 12th and be due on August 22nd) so watch for that order form the week before school starts.
Moving forward, mark your calendars as hot lunch order forms will open on the first of each month and due on the 10th of each month for the upcoming month for the remainder of the school year. You can always check out our hot lunch information on our website. Click on “hot lunch” at the top of the page. (Remember, you will pay on the hot lunch form we provide, and we do NOT use School Cafe in Jeffco to pay for hot lunch.)
How do I pay for Hot Lunch?
You pay at the bottom of the the monthly hot lunch order form. We do not use School Cafe through Jeffco. When visiting our school website, the hot lunch order form will always be in the top right corner.
Do I qualify for Free & Reduced Lunch?
The Family Economic Data Survey form is pending approval by Jeffco, standby for more info.
What does OPT mean in Infinite Campus Parent Portal list of fee?
Per the district, OPT means optional, but since “material and supply” fees are in lieu of traditional school supplies at Compass, we do ask all parents to pay this fee.
What if I am not receiving school communication?
Once the school year begins, you’ll be informed using the following forms of communication:
- Biweekly classroom newsletters - each classroom at Compass will send you a newsletter every other week (or every two weeks depending on class schedule).
- A weekly whole-school newsletter called the Intrinsic Notification - this is sent every Friday and will include whole school events, district reminders, calendar reminders and Montessori news from our Leadership & Admin Teams. Emails will be sent to the email address your family adds in Infinite Campus.
- Our website at www.compassmontessori.org is updated daily, and it’s a great place to start if you’re looking for answers.
