- All parents must read and acknowledge the parent handbook each year.
- The handbook includes policies for attendance, hours, enrollment, fees, conferences, student support, trips, safety and more! It's a great place to look if you have questions throughout the school year.
- The 2025-26 handbook is pending board approval, and we'll share a copy with you after it's approved by our Board.
- For now, you may review the 2024-25 Family & Student Handbook.

First Days of School 2025 - 2026
What is a Quick Teacher Intro appointment and who needs to attend?
Quick Teacher Intro is just for 3 year old students and students new to our Children’s House program here at Compass. It’s a chance for your child to see the classroom without any other children present and spend a little time one on one with the lead teacher while the classroom assistants meet with parents/guardians. This appointment typically lasts about 20 minutes.
PLEASE NOTE: You should have received an email in June with your Quick Teacher Intro assigned time. If you did not receive that, please email [email protected].
My child is a 3-year old, when is their first day of school?
We will begin phasing our three-year-olds into school the week of August 25th. We do this so our Kindergarten and 4-year old students may begin and prepare to welcome the 3-year olds first. Then, the 3-year olds get a quieter beginning, with more one-on-one attention from teachers and students for their first days. Once they’ve had their first day, they continue to come for a full day every day! See below.
PLEASE NOTE: All three-year-old families received an email in June with their first day assignment. If you did not receive it, please email [email protected].
FAQs
When does Before & After Care begin?
Monday, August 25th at both campuses. More information about Before & After Care for both campuses may be found HERE.
When does after school Enrichment begin?
Enrichment classes begin after school the week of Monday, August 25th, and registration will be open by the first day of school.
What if my child goes to After Care, but I sign them up for an Enrichment class?
If your kindergartner is enrolled in after school enrichment and they are enrolled in after care, your child will be taken to after care immediately following their enrichment class, and you may pick them up from there. No after care refunds will be issued for enrichment overlap.
What’s the difference between Before & After Care and Enrichment?
Before and After Care is a child care program for those who need to pick up their child later than, or drop off earlier than school hours. Enrichment is after school classes hosted by outside vendors , such as art, soccer and music. Enrichment classes usually last about one hour after school and students must be in Kindergarten or older to participate.
Does Compass require school supplies?
“Material & Supply Fees” are added to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal fees list, in lieu of school supplies. We do not require parents to purchase a traditional school supplies list in addition to that fee. Some classrooms create additional wish lists and parents may participate voluntarily.
Tell me more about Immunizations vs Exemptions
Immunizations - Each school year, all students must have a current immunization record on file at the school. Please upload the updated version of your immunizations in the registration form above. If you have chosen to delay immunizations, and they do not align with the CDPHE, then you must submit an exemption form in the place of those delayed immunizations.
Exemptions - If your child has an exemption for immunizations, please click on exemptions and read through the CDPHE information. Then, provide us with the time-stamped certificate upon completion of the video required on record. We need this annually (every year, we need an updated exemption form). Please upload this certificate in the Children’s House registration form above.
When is Children’s House tuition due?
Tuition and all school fees are due on the first and late (with an added late fee) on the 10th each month.
What other fees can we expect?
- Snack - $100 snack fee, which includes daily snacks for your child throughout the school year. The fee will be split per semester in Infinite Campus. You can pay $50 by the first day of school, and the second $50 by January 1, 2026 for the spring semester. (Or you may pay both at the beginning of the school year; your choice!)
- Other - You will also see a Materials/Supply fee, fees for field trips throughout the school year. If you have questions about your fees or tuition, you may email Nicole at [email protected].
Does Compass require families to volunteer?
As a charter school, we must be intentional about building our school community, and supporting each other. While we do not require a certain amount of volunteer hours, Compass families are asked to volunteer 50 hours (or equivalent) each school year. You can log your volunteer hours HERE!
