    • Complete your Annual Update (all new & returning) - This is the process of clicking through your entire account in Infinite Campus to check contact information, emergency contacts, opt into text messages, etc are correct for your family. (This is very important, as we communicate with you using the contact information you provide in IC!)

    • Pay your fees - Once you're logged in, click "More” in the left column, then "Jeffco Student Fee Payment," to review and pay your list of fees.

For help navigating IC, visit the step-by-step guide page.

2. Complete the Compass Blanket Permission Form for 2025-26 - ALL students 1st - 12th grade must complete this 2025-26 Blanket Permission Form. ALL families 1st - 12th grade must complete this form for each school year, and choose their permission preferences no later than August 19, 2025.
  •
3. Complete the Photo Opt OUT Form (optional) - You only need to complete our 2025-26 Compass Photo Opt Out Form if you DO NOT want your child in any photographs at school. 5. Review & Bookmark the Hours of Operation
    • During the school year, High School school students should arrive at 7:30 AM and school begins promptly at 7:45 AM.
    • School ends at 2:45 PM
    • You can always double check these times, and our half day hours in our Hours of Operation link in Contact Us on our website. (bookmark this page!)
  •
6. Review & Bookmark the Attendance, Tardy, Early Release & Extended Absences - If your student is absent, tardy, leaving early or planning extended absences, please complete the appropriate forms. These forms will always be on the homepage of our website, and are the preferred method for notifying the school.

(If you are scheduling an ongoing early release or tardy for your child’s sports program at another school, therapy or other medical appointments, please use the Attendance, Tardy & Early Release Forms)

7. Review the school Calendar - Check the school calendar on our website regularly! We offer a Family Calendar PDF (always on our homepage), as well as a more detailed whole school calendar if you click “Calendar” in the top right corner of our website. (Please note, our charter school calendar is not always exactly the same as Jeffco’s calendar, so ALWAYS cross reference, and be sure to follow the Compass calendar.)

    • Website - Our website will always be updated, and is the first place you should look for whole school calendar dates, reminders and deadlines.
    • High School Newsletters - High School specific calendar dates will come to you via the high school newsletters every month throughout the school year. The High School newsletters (& more!) will be at www.compassmontessori.org/hs - please check this page regularly and bookmark it!
    • Intrinsic Notification - You'll also receive an all-school newsletter called The Intrinsic Notification every Friday school is in session via email.
    • Phone, Email, Text - We email, call and text families as well, and we pull that information from your Infinite Campus portal, so make sure that info is updated (see above). Please opt into texts from the school if you’re comfortable with it!
    • Instagram - You can follow us on Instagram for celebrations and reminders as well! (@compass_montessori.org)

  •
9. Review the Compass Family & Student Handbook
    • All parents/guardians must read and acknowledge the parent \/guardian handbook each year.
    • The handbook includes policies for attendance, hours, enrollment, fees, conferences, student support, trips, safety and more! It's a great place to look if you have questions throughout the school year.
    • The 2025-26 handbook is pending board approval, and we'll share a copy with you after it's approved by our Board.
    • For now, you may review the 2024-25 Family & Student Handbook.
  •
10. Immunizations - Each year, EVERY student must submit a copy of their Immunization records (or exemption documents).
    • Submit your child's most current immunization record or your exemption certification at the beginning of each school year.
    • It's always best to pull a fresh immunization record and give it to our clinic aides, just to be sure we have everything on record!
    • Submit to the clinic aide: Serra Draper at [email protected]

  •

11. Med Forms (if applicable) - If your child has ANY medication which needs to be administered at school, please have your medical provider complete this one or all of the following forms and return to the clinic aide with the medicine in its original container by the first day of school. Reach out to our clinic aide (Serra Draper) with questions.

High School Cell Phone Policy

Dear High School Families:

Cell phones are wonders of technology, and we recognize that they can be tools for communication and learning.  We also believe that cell phones are creating barriers to community building, peer-to-peer and peer-to-guide communication, and academic engagement.  We hope that removing phones from the environment for approximately 5 ½ hours per school day will promote more balance and encourage students to engage a range of strategies and resources.

When we return to school in August, we will continue with our technology policy more in line with our pre-COVID “off, off, and away” philosophy.  During the morning work cycle, from advisor check-in to lunch, and during electives, we will ask students t0 turn their phones OFF and place them in zippered bags that students can keep with them.  Students who do not comply will need to check their phones into a “phone hotel” in an administrator’s office.

Parents/guardians are encouraged to remind their students about appointments and transportation plans verbally and by email.  Parents/guardians who need to reach their student in the case of an emergency may contact their child on their cell phone before 7:45, during lunch, or after 2:45.  If an urgent need arises during core academic hours, please call the main office: 303-271-1977, and we will connect you with your student via a landline.

We appreciate your support of our community and look forward to continuing our dialogue on how we can encourage students to better understand the ways technology can distract us from our work and enrich our lives.

In peace,

The High School Guides
